Welcome! I’m delighted you stopped by.

Songs often begin as a quiet thought, a fleeting emotion, or a single line that refuses to let go. Long before they become melodies and rhythms, they live as words. This page is where I’ve gathered the lyrics to my original songs—stories of love, hope, longing, joy, reflection, and the countless moments that shape our lives. I invite you to linger, read them as poetry, or listen along whenever a YouTube link is available. My hope is that these songs will speak to your heart, stir your imagination, and perhaps remind you of a feeling or memory that’s uniquely your own.

Thank you for sharing this musical journey with me. May these words and melodies bring you inspiration, comfort, and a few moments of happiness along the way.

VOICES OF THE LOTUS SUTRA

The songs on this album were inspired by some of the central principles of Nichiren Buddhism—concepts such as Ichinen Sanzen, Itai Doshin, Esho Funi, Shakubuku, Bonnō Soku Bodai, Kosen-rufu, and many others that have profoundly influenced the way I view life. These teachings have guided me for many years, and I decided to explore them through a musical language that feels contemporary, accessible, and emotionally engaging. My intention is that the melodies, rhythms, and lyrics invite listeners to become curious about these timeless ideas, whether they are already familiar with Buddhism or encountering them for the very first time.

Rather than presenting these concepts as philosophical lectures, I chose to let them breathe through music. Every song translates aspects of these teachings into stories, emotions, and everyday experiences we all recognize—love, courage, struggle, hope, resilience, and the ongoing possibility of personal transformation. If a song inspires someone to smile, reflect, ask a question, or discover a new perspective on life, then it has already fulfilled its purpose. I hope this album serves not only as a collection of songs but also as a friendly doorway into a philosophy that continues to inspire millions of people around the world.

Human Revolution, by Frank Colón (©®2026 BMI / Technoprimal Music, Unltd.™)

In SGI (Soka Gakkai International) Nichiren Buddhism, human revolution means transforming your life from the inside out. The term, introduced by the second Soka Gakkai president, Josei Toda, describes the ongoing process of overcoming deeply rooted fears, weaknesses, painful experiences, and negative habits, while cultivating greater courage, wisdom, compassion, and joy.

Rather than waiting for circumstances or other people to change, human revolution begins by looking honestly at ourselves and taking responsibility for our own thoughts, actions, and direction in life. Through Buddhist practice—including chanting Nam-myoho-renge-kyo and studying Buddhist teachings—we gradually develop the inner strength to face difficulties differently and reveal our inherent potential for Buddhahood in everyday life.

Human revolution is not about becoming perfect or escaping life’s problems. It is about using those problems as opportunities to grow and becoming stronger, wiser, and more compassionate through them. As we move beyond selfishness, fear, anger, or the tendency to blame others, we become better able to encourage and support the people around us. SGI Buddhism teaches that this personal transformation can also have a wider effect: when one person changes for the better, that change influences family, friends, communities, and eventually society itself.

In this sense, changing the world begins with changing our own lives, and each person’s human revolution becomes a contribution toward greater happiness and peace for everyone.

Human Revolution (Turn It Around)

Look beyond what pulls you small

Past the noise, beyond it all

There’s a voice that calls you higher

Deep inside—a living fire

Hopeless stories flip and change

Broken paths can rearrange

In the dark, when you can’t see

That’s the door to destiny

When you’re lost, when you’re torn

That’s the place where you’re reborn

Every fall—reset, restart

Build a stronger, brighter heart

Turn it around—right now, right now

Human revolution—show me how

From the inside—break it through

New life rising out of you

Turn it around—don’t slow down

Lift your life, don’t look down

Every moment—make it count

Human revolution—turn it now

Caught up in the same old loops

Fear and doubt and worn-out truths

Six worlds spinning, round and round

But you don’t have to stay bound

Choose compassion—act with care

Lift another, you’re already there

Every step that breaks the chain

Turns your loss into your gain

Family, world—start with one

That’s how peace is really done

Shift your life—through what you do

Every action shapes the new

Turn it around—right now, right now

Human revolution—show me how

From the inside—break it through

New life rising out of you

Turn it around—don’t slow down

Lift your life, don’t look down

Every moment—make it count

Human revolution—turn it now

Not a label, not a name

Not your status, not your fame

When it’s stripped to who you are

That’s the truth, that’s the start

This is more than growing slow

This is power—watch it go

Sudden shift, a rising tide

Endless growth from deep inside

Faith in action—move your feet

Make your life and wisdom meet

Fuse the truth with what you live

That’s the power you can give

Turn it around—right now, right now

Human revolution—show me how

From the inside—break it through

New life rising out of you

Turn it around—right now, right now

Turn it around—don’t back down

Human revolution—feel the sound

Human revolution—now, now, now

Turn it! (Turn it!)

Turn it now! (Turn it now!)

From the inside—break it out!

Human revolution—shout it loud!

It Takes Courage to be Happy, by Frank Colón (©®2026 BMI / Technoprimal Music, Unltd.™)

Daisaku Ikeda teaches that happiness is not something that simply happens to us—it is something we create through courage. Being truly happy means having the strength to face life’s challenges instead of running away from them. It also means confronting our own fears, doubts, and negative habits so we can grow as human beings.

In Nichiren Buddhism, this ongoing process of inner growth is called human revolution, and it begins with the decision to keep moving forward no matter what obstacles appear.

Courage also means staying true to your values, even when it is easier to follow the crowd. It is expressed through compassionate action—supporting others, standing up against injustice, and encouraging people who are struggling.

Rather than waiting for life to become perfect, Ikeda teaches that happiness comes from developing the determination to overcome difficulties with hope and resilience. By choosing courage every day, we gradually build a life filled with confidence, purpose, and lasting joy.

It Takes Courage to be Happy

Peace is not far away,

It begins with one person.

The human spirit can transform anything,

Even the hardest moments.

Peace is reaching beyond difference,

And choosing to stay in dialogue.

Peace lives in action,

Courageous, nonviolent, alive.

When we change, the world changes.

You are the author of your victory.

It takes courage to be happy.

Peace is not the absence of war,

It is trust made visible.

A world of empathy begins with a decision,

Never abandon those who suffer.

The power to grow lives in you,

Unstoppable hope in your heart.

Enlightenment transforms desire,

Into compassion and wisdom.

Obstacles become strength,

When faced with courage.

When we change, the world changes.

You are the author of your victory.

It takes courage to be happy.

When we change, the world changes.

You are the author of your victory.

It takes courage to be happy.

Poison Into Medicine, by Frank Colón (©®2026 BMI / Technoprimal Music, Unltd.™)

Hendoku Iyaku is a Buddhist principle that means “changing poison into medicine.”

In Nichiren Buddhism as practiced by SGI, it teaches that even life’s greatest difficulties—such as illness, loss, failure, painful relationships, or the effects of past actions—can become the very source of personal growth and happiness. Rather than seeing suffering as something that only causes pain, this principle encourages people to view challenges as opportunities to develop wisdom, courage, compassion, and a stronger, more resilient life through Buddhist practice.

In everyday life, Hendoku Iyaku means facing problems with confidence instead of running away from them. As you strengthen your inner life through faith and consistent practice, your struggles gradually become the driving force behind your personal transformation, often called human revolution. Instead of feeling defeated or seeing yourself as a victim of circumstances, you learn to turn setbacks into valuable life lessons that benefit not only you but also others facing similar challenges.

Poison Into Medicine

I drank the night

Felt it burn inside

But something in me said

This pain can turn the tide

One breath

One sound

I won’t stay down

Every scar spoke my name

Every loss fed the flame

What was sent to break me down

Built the strength I found

I faced the darkest door

Didn’t run anymore

Every wound became a key

Opening the greater me

I found power in the fire

I found truth in the pain

What was meant to end my life

Now is life in my veins

I turn poison into medicine

I turn falling into rising again

Every shadow becomes my friend

Poison into medicine

I turn poison into medicine

Every ending begins again

From the fire I transcend

Poison into medicine

Every fear lost control

When I stood in my soul

Every storm that shook my ground

Made a stronger sound

I don’t curse the rain

It made diamonds from pain

Now the past that haunted me

Is the force that set me free

Every step through the night

Brought the sun into view

What was breaking my heart

Built a heart that’s renewed

I turn poison into medicine

I turn falling into rising again

Every shadow becomes my friend

Poison into medicine

I turn poison into medicine

Every ending begins again

From the fire I transcend

Poison into medicine

Medicine

Medicine

Poison into medicine

Medicine

Medicine

Hendoku Iyaku

Poison into medicine

I rise

I rise

Poison into medicine

Shiki Shin Funi, by Frank Colón (©®2026 BMI / Technoprimal Music, Unltd.™)

Shiki Shin Funi is a Buddhist principle that means the body and mind are two aspects of the same life.

Although we often think of them as separate, they constantly work together and cannot truly exist independently. Your body includes everything physical—your health, senses, and actions—while your mind includes your thoughts, emotions, attitudes, and inner life. Like the two sides of a coin, they have different roles but are inseparable parts of one whole.

In everyday life, this means that your mental and physical states continuously influence each other. When you feel hopeful, confident, and at peace, your body often responds with greater energy and resilience. Likewise, getting enough sleep, eating well, exercising, and taking care of your physical health can improve your mood and mental clarity.

In Nichiren Buddhism, this principle reminds us that lasting happiness and personal growth come from nurturing both body and mind, recognizing them as a unified expression of life.

Shiki Shin Funi

I used to think my life was something happening to me from the outside…

Like waves I couldn’t stop, like shadows I could never outrun or rewrite.

But every quiet whisper in my chest was drawing lines I couldn’t see.

Every fear became a shape, every hope a new reality.

Now I feel it in my breath, in every step I’m moving through.

What I carry in my mind is what my whole world turns into.

Shiki Shin Funi — me and my life, we’re not two,

What I believe inside is breaking through.

Change my heart, and I change what I go through,

Shiki Shin Funi — everything begins with you!

So I take responsibility for every storm and every sky.

Turn the poison into power, let a better version rise.

If I lift my inner state, my body follows, strong and clear,

And the world around me shifts when there’s no doubt, no fear.

Every moment is a choice, every thought a point of view…

When I elevate my life, my whole environment does too.

Shiki Shin Funi — me and my life, we’re not two,

What I believe inside is breaking through.

Change my heart, and I change what I go through.

Shiki Shin Funi — everything begins with you!

Shiki Shin Funi… I transform my reality…

Shiki Shin Funi… from the inside out of me…

Shiki Shin Funi… this is how my life can move…

Shiki Shin Funi… I transform my reality!

Ichinen Sanzen, by Frank Colón (©®2026 BMI / Technoprimal Music, Unltd.™)

Ichinen Sanzen is a fundamental principle in SGI Nichiren Buddhism that teaches that every single moment of life contains limitless potential.

The phrase literally means “three thousand realms in a single moment of life” and expresses the idea that our thoughts, emotions, actions, and circumstances are all deeply interconnected. Rather than seeing enlightenment as something distant or reserved for a select few, this principle teaches that every person already possesses the potential for wisdom, courage, compassion, and Buddhahood. At any given moment, we can choose to move toward hope and growth rather than remain trapped by fear, anger, or suffering.

In practical terms, Ichinen Sanzen means that changing our inner state can change how we experience and influence the world around us. SGI Buddhism explains that our life and our environment are inseparable, so a positive inner transformation naturally leads to positive changes in our relationships, actions, and circumstances.

Through chanting Nam-myoho-renge-kyo and applying Buddhist principles in daily life, practitioners seek to bring forth their highest potential, overcome challenges with wisdom and resilience, and create lasting value for themselves and others.

Ichinen Sanzen (Three Thousand in a Breath)

Mm… yeah…

One breath… one pulse…

Nam-myoho-renge-kyo…

All worlds… right here…

Low voice, slow flame, steady in the chest,

One single thought can outshine the rest.

They told me fate was written in stone,

But I found universes in a moment alone.

Ichinen — that spark in the dark,

Sanzen — whole cosmos in my heart.

Three thousand realms in the blink of an eye,

Heaven, hell, and the reason why.

From doubt to power in one decision,

Shift the mind — shift the vision.

Not waiting for the stars to align,

I move one thought… the stars move mine.

Every second holds infinity,

Every choice writes destiny.

When I chant… I see the sign,

The universe turns on a single ichinen of mine.

Three thousand worlds in a heartbeat now,

Limitless life and I know it somehow.

One true moment can change the design,

I rise — Ichinen Sanzen is mine.

Nothing’s fixed, nothing’s frozen in time.

Future bends to a focused mind.

From the inside out I shine.

Three thousand realms in this life of mine.

Nam-myoho-renge-kyo… Nam-myoho-renge-kyo…

In a single breath I can rewrite pain,

Turn loss to wisdom, sun from rain.

No distant Buddha I must find,

The realm of light is in my mind.

T’ien-t’ai saw what I can feel,

Every moment is fully real.

Not part… not small… not fractioned pieces,

The whole wide cosmos never ceases.

Three thousand worlds in a heartbeat now,

Limitless life and I know it somehow.

One true moment can change the design,

I rise — Ichinen Sanzen is mine.

Nothing’s fixed, nothing’s frozen in time,

Future bends to a focused mind.

From the inside out I shine,

Three thousand realms in this life of mine.

Mm… one moment…

All realms open…

Nam-myoho-renge-kyo…

Infinite now…

Infinite now…

Sensei's Guidance, by Frank Colón (©®2026 BMI / Technoprimal Music, Unltd.™)

This song is composed entirely of quotes from talks and lectures given by Dr. Daisaku Ikeda, former President of the Soka Gakkai International - the lay organization of people who practice the Buddhism of Nichiren Daishonin.

Sensei's Guidance

Peace is not somewhere far away. It begins with cherishing one person.

The human spirit is endowed with the ability to transform even the most difficult circumstances.

Peace is reaching out to those unlike yourself and continuing to engage in conversation.

Peace exists in action—courageously, nonviolently fighting against the injustice that makes people suffer.

Peace is not simply the absence of war; it is a state in which people come together in mutual trust and live with joy, energy, and hope.

The vision that we must place at the heart of contemporary society is a world of empathy marked by the resolute refusal to abandon those who suffer most deeply.

Voices of integrity, voices filled with conviction, are a powerful force.

The power of growth, of improvement, the power to overcome all stagnation... that unstoppable power of hope resides right within your own heart.

The Buddha's enlightenment does not lie in 'eradicating' earthly desires, but in infusing them with compassion and wisdom.

Obstacles are a problem if we shrink before them, but if we face them with courage and confidence, they become a springboard to victory.

The true victors in life are those who, enduring repeated challenges and setbacks, have sent the roots of their being to such a depth that nothing can shake them.

True love should be transformative, a process that amplifies our capacity to cherish not just one person but all people.

True happiness is obtained through fully realizing your own potential.

With love and patience, nothing is impossible.

Buddhahood Right Now by Frank Colón (©®2026 BMI - Technoprimal Music, Unltd.™)

In SGI (Soka Gakkai International) Nichiren Buddhism, Buddhahood Right Now means that enlightenment is not a distant goal reserved for saints or something attained only after death, but a powerful life condition that already exists within every person and can be revealed here and now. Rather than escaping life’s difficulties, this teaching explains that our struggles, desires, and challenges become the very means through which we develop greater wisdom, courage, compassion, and resilience.

By chanting Nam-myoho-renge-kyo and applying Buddhist principles in everyday life, people awaken their inherent Buddha nature, enabling them to face problems with confidence, help others, and experience a lasting sense of happiness that does not depend on external circumstances. In this way, Buddhahood is not a supernatural state, but the ongoing practice of bringing out the highest qualities of one’s life in each moment.

Buddhahood Right Now

No waiting on another life

No halo in the sky

Right here in flesh and breath and fire

I claim the reason why

Ordinary, that’s my name

But something deeper calls

Every heartbeat holds a sun

Every whisper breaks the walls

I’m not small, I’m not late

I’m not lost in the gray

There’s a universe inside

Waking up today

Every moment—turn the key

All that power lives in me

Right here, right now—I rise

Light in my body, fire in my eyes

Nam-myoho-renge-kyo—I flow

Turn every doubt into gold

Right here, right now—I stand

Whole as I am, just as I am

No more waiting—I know

I’m bringing my Buddhahood home

Every struggle, every scar

Fuel for something more

Pressure builds a diamond heart

I’ve been here before

Pain to power, loss to gain

I rewrite the code

What was heavy, what was dark

Now becomes my road

No defeat can hold me down

No past can define

Every step I take transforms

All this life to shine

From the ashes—watch me grow

Every setback starts the glow

Right here, right now—I rise

Light in my body, fire in my eyes

Nam-myoho-renge-kyo—I flow

Turn every doubt into gold

Right here, right now—I stand

Whole as I am, just as I am

No more waiting—I know

I’m bringing my Buddhahood home

From this moment I decide

Future starts in me

Every prayer, every move

Builds eternity

Nothing wasted, nothing lost

Every cause returns

Even shadows in my path

Help the wisdom burn

I will stand, I will share

I will light the way

Every life I touch expands

Hope begins today

Strong resolve—I break through

Create something from the blue

Right here, right now—I rise

Light in my body, fire in my eyes

Nam-myoho-renge-kyo—I flow

Turn every doubt into gold

Right here, right now—I rise

Right here, right now—I rise

Nam-myoho-renge-kyo—I flow

Nam-myoho-renge-kyo—I flow

Right here! (Right now!)

Right here! (Right now!)

Buddhahood—this life, this vow!

Right here! Right now!

River of Peace (Kosen-rufu) by Frank Colón (©®2026 BMI - Technoprimal Music, Unltd.™)

Kosen-rufu is a central principle in Soka Gakkai International (SGI) Buddhism that describes the ongoing effort to create a peaceful and compassionate world by helping one person at a time awaken to their own inner potential. The term literally means “to spread widely,” like a great river flowing or a bolt of cloth being unrolled, reflecting the idea of sharing the Buddhist philosophy of respect for the dignity of life throughout society.

Rather than seeking world peace through political or social systems alone, SGI teaches that lasting change begins with each individual’s “human revolution”—the inner transformation that develops greater wisdom, courage, compassion, and confidence. As people change themselves, they naturally influence their families, friends, workplaces, and communities, creating a positive ripple effect.

Kosen-rufu is therefore not a final destination or a perfect future society, but a continuous, everyday commitment to encouraging others, sharing Buddhist principles through sincere dialogue, and helping everyone recognize their inherent Buddha nature and unlimited capacity to contribute to a more peaceful and humane world.

River of Peace (Kosen-rufu)

(Smooth, rhythmic ad-libs)

Mm… yeah…

Flow like a river…

Rise like the sun…

Nam-myoho-renge-kyo…

One by one…

Low tone, steady walk, fire in the chest,

Peace ain’t a dream — it’s a daily request.

Kosen Rufu— declare what you stand for

Kosen Rufu— let it flow from door to door

Not waiting on leaders or history’s turn,

The revolution begins when the heart starts to burn.

One life lit can shatter the night,

Dignity rising, claiming its right.

This ain’t silence, this is a vow.

Human revolution is happening now.

From karma to courage, from fear to proof,

I change my life — that’s kosen-rufu.

When I elevate… the current grows,

One brave voice and the river flows.

From a single spark, the movement expands,

Peace in my heart… peace in my hands.

Let it flow — kosen-rufu.

From me to you, from you to truth.

Every life shining through,

That’s how we move — kosen-rufu.

Rise and go — let the whole world know,

Happiness grows where respect can flow.

One by one, we break the roof,

Living proof — kosen-rufu.

March 16 — a promise renewed,

Not numbers, not fame — but a life imbued.

With courage to speak, with compassion to act,

Building the future fact by fact.

Like cloth unfolding across the land,

Like rivers shaped by a single hand.

Not someday… not far above,

Peace begins with the power of love.

Let it flow — kosen-rufu,

From me to you, from you to truth.

Every life shining through,

That’s how we move — kosen-rufu.

Rise and go — let the whole world know,

Happiness grows where respect can flow.

One by one, we break the roof,

Living proof — kosen-rufu.

Flow… flow…

River keeps moving…

Nam-myoho-renge-kyo…

Peace starts here…

One life… one vow…

Kosen-rufu… now…

Kosen-rufu… now…

ESHO FUNI by Frank Colón (©®2026 BMI - Technoprimal Music, Unltd.™)

Eshō-funi is a central principle in SGI Nichiren Buddhism that teaches that our lives and the surrounding environment are inseparably connected. Rather than viewing ourselves and the world as separate, this principle explains that they are two aspects of the same reality: our inner life and our outer circumstances constantly influence one another. This is why Buddhism says that our environment often reflects our state of mind.

For example, someone filled with anger or fear may perceive the world as hostile, while a person with confidence, compassion, and wisdom is more likely to experience opportunities, supportive relationships, and positive outcomes. In SGI Buddhism, chanting Nam-myoho-renge-kyo is the primary way to transform one’s inner life, and as that inner transformation takes place, external circumstances naturally begin to change as well. A traditional Buddhist analogy compares the individual to a body and the environment to its shadow: just as a shadow moves whenever the body moves, our environment responds as we change our thoughts, attitudes, and determination.

Esho Funi

(Ooh… yeah…)

Mmm… I move, it moves…

Same breath… same truth…

Ahh… esho funi…

I woke up, changed my mind,

Watched the sky rearrange.

Same street, same walls—

But nothing felt the same.

My thoughts like gravity,

Pulling worlds into place.

Every fear I released

wiped the clouds from my space.

Body and shadow,

Dancing in time.

Not chasing the light—

Realizing it’s mine.

No victim of the scene,

I design what I see

When I rewrite my heart,

The world rewrites me.

When I rise inside… the horizon bends

What I heal in me… the healing begins

No separation… nowhere to run

I am the source… I am the sun

We are one—one reflection

Inside out, pure connection

When I change, the whole world moves

Me and you… esho funi truth

We are one—no division

Outer world is inner vision

Every breath, every step I choose

Life responds… esho funi truth

Like a shadow follows form

Like the calm inside the storm

Every prayer becomes the ground

Where a brand new world is found

I don’t chase what I can be

I become—and then I see

We are one—one reflection

Inside out, pure connection

When I change, the whole world moves

Me and you… esho funi truth

We are one—no division

Outer world is inner vision

Every breath, every step I choose

Life responds… esho funi truth

(Ooh…) world moving with me…

Ahh… same life, same rhythm…

Body… shadow… one flow…

Esho funi… I know…

Esho funi… I know…

BONNO SOKU BODAI by Frank Colón (©®2026 BMI - Technoprimal Music, Unltd.™)

In Nichiren Buddhism, the principle of bonnō soku bodai, often translated as “earthly desires are enlightenment,” teaches that we do not become enlightened by eliminating our human desires, emotions, or imperfections. Instead, the very struggles, attachments, and challenges we experience become the raw material for developing wisdom, compassion, and inner strength.

Rather than viewing our desires as obstacles, this teaching explains that they can be transformed into the driving force for personal growth and Buddhahood through consistent Buddhist practice. In this way, suffering, negative karma, and earthly desires are not simply endured or suppressed; they are gradually transformed into the Buddha’s qualities of wisdom, freedom, and an enlightened way of living. This means that ordinary people, living ordinary lives with all their daily joys and difficulties, can reveal their highest potential exactly as they are.

BONNO SOKU BODAI

Mmm… yeah…

What burns in me… can set me free…

Nam-myoho-renge-kyo…

Sweet from the bitter… watch… watch…

I felt the fire, thought it was my cage,

Desire in my blood, karma on the page.

Tried to run clean, tried to erase the flame,

But the more I resisted, the more it stayed the same.

Then I heard a whisper deep in my chest,

“Don’t kill the storm—let it give you breath.”

Every craving, every scar I hide,

Is a door to a strength that lives inside.

Not broken, not wrong—just energy,

Waiting for the truth to set it free.

When I chant… I realign.

Turn the dark… into the divine.

Same fruit… different taste.

When love awakens… nothing goes to waste.

Bonno soku bodai—fire into light,

Every shadow in me shines bright.

What I feared… becomes my way,

Nam-myoho-renge-kyo—I rise today.

Bonno soku bodai—pain into gold,

Every story my heart once told.

Now I know… nothing was denied,

It was wisdom waiting deep inside.

Bitter fruit on the vine of my soul,

I taste the truth—it was sweet all along.

No need to run from the heat in me,

The flame was the path… the path to be free.

Desire becomes wings when I believe,

Nothing to destroy… everything to redeem.

Bonno soku bodai—fire into light,

Every shadow in me shines bright.

What I feared… becomes my way,

Nam-myoho-renge-kyo—I rise today.

Bonno soku bodai—pain into gold,

Every story my heart once told.

Now I know… nothing was denied,

It was wisdom waiting deep inside.

Nam-myoho-renge-kyo…

Sweet from the bitter now…

Desire becomes wings when I believe,

Nothing to destroy…

Everything to redeem.

MOVE YOUR HEART by Frank Colón (©®2026 BMI / Technoprimal Music, Unltd.™)

In SGI Nichiren Buddhism, “moving your heart” means changing your life from the inside out. Nichiren Daishonin taught that “it is the heart that is important,” emphasizing that our inner attitude, determination, and faith strongly influence how we experience life. Although we cannot always control what happens around us, we can transform the way we respond to difficulties.

Rather than allowing circumstances to determine whether we feel defeated or hopeful, we can develop the courage and wisdom to face challenges directly. This inner transformation—often called human revolution—is more than simply trying to feel better; it is a deep change in how we think, believe, and live.

In daily practice, we “move our heart” by chanting Nam-myoho-renge-kyo with determination and taking positive action based on the wisdom and courage that emerge from within. Through chanting, we seek to bring forth our inherent Buddhahood—the highest potential for wisdom, compassion, courage, and resilience—and use it to transform both ourselves and our circumstances.

Moving our heart also changes the way we relate to other people: instead of remaining isolated or indifferent, we reach out, listen, encourage, and share in others' struggles. In this sense, transforming the heart is not only about becoming stronger ourselves; it is about using that inner strength to create hope, connection, and positive change in the world around us.

MOVE YOUR HEART

Don’t cut your wings; you were born to fly

You’ve got a fire they can’t deny

Every step, feel the ground respond

What you believe pulls the future on

Move your heart, feel it start

When you chant, the world aligns

Say it loud, feel it spark

What you want comes alive

From dry days to a river of green

You turn the dust into a dream

Break the wall, cross the line

When you decide, the stars say, “fine”

Move your heart, feel it start

When you chant, the world aligns

Say it loud, feel it spark

What you want comes alive

Nam Myoho Renge Kyo

Nam Myoho Renge Kyo

No more standing in the same old place

You turn the dust into gold lace

Break it open, cross that line

Once you choose, the world says, “fine”

Move your heart, feel the sound

When you chant, life turns around

Say it now, make it start

Everything moves when you move your heart

Nam Myoho Renge Kyo

Nam Myoho Renge Kyo

Move your heart, feel the sound

When you chant, life turns around

Say it now, make it start

Everything moves when you move your heart
